After a two-year hiatus, the Ayala Museum and Filipinas Heritage Library Reopen

MANILA, Philippines – After a two-year renovation, the Ayala Museum will reopen to the public on Sunday, December 4.

According to Ayala Museum’s social media pages, the soft opening ceremony on Sunday will commemorate the museum’s 60th anniversary. The Filipinas Heritage Library, as well as five new galleries, will be open to the public at that time.

The newly renovated museum, designed by Leandro V. Locsin Partners, has a new lobby “marked by a distinctive Asian sensibility and borrowed landscape,” according to its website, and the redefined spaces are appropriate for the pandemic’s new normal protocols.

Safety protocols will also be followed to ensure the safety of their guests. Individuals must be fully vaccinated to enter the museum and library, regardless of age. All guests must also provide proof of vaccination upon entry.

Meanwhile, “The Diorama Experience” exhibition is made up of 60 dioramas that are intended to provide a comprehensive visual approach to Philippine history. The rest of the galleries will be opened to the public in 2022.

In addition to its soft opening, the Ayala Museum will unveil a new website and mobile app on Sunday to support its onsite exhibitions. They stated that guests can use its redesigned portal to book visits, participate in workshops and conferences, access its collection online, and browse the new exhibitions.
