In the movie, government operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) is coming out of his self-imposed exile and finds himself on a collision course with deadly Alpha warrior Xiang and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora’s box. The chase goes all over the world including going to the Caramoan Islands! 

From the interview of Vin Diesel when asked about the country, “I like the warmth of the people in the Philippines. I don’t know [how to] describe it…if you go there, you will know what I mean.” For him, the country is not new to him as his sister-in-law is also from the Philippines.
