Four Southeast Asian countries are lowering tourist entry requirements.

Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam, four of Southeast Asia’s most popular tourist destinations, have begun to relax entry requirements. The news will undoubtedly be’music to the ears’ of visitors eager to enjoy the breathtaking scenery, lovely white-sand beaches, delectable food, and other amenities.

Malaysia

Following many reports of border reopenings, Malaysia appears to be ready to welcome tourists again in early March. According to reports, starting on March 1st, people seeking to visit the country for tourism purposes would be able to enter without having to go through quarantine.

Philippines

The Philippines, famous for some of the most beautifully magnificent beaches – and massive numbers of lovely islands – has began allowing travelers to enter the country once more to experience everything that this amazing nation has to offer. The Philippines is well-known for having some of the most breathtakingly beautiful beaches and a plethora of lovely islands. After being closed to tourists – like the rest of Southeast Asia – for around two years, those from 150 nations can now enter visa-free.

There is no need for quarantine for those who have received all of their vaccinations; nonetheless, self-monitoring is recommended for the next 7 days after arrival. Travelers, whether vaccinated or not, must now take a PCR test as part of the new entrance requirements.

Thailand

Thailand, which has the most visited capital city in the world – Bangkok – has already begun to allow tourists to enter the country without having to go through quarantine. Visitors must submit to COVID-19 PCR tests on days 1 and 5 of their visit. The ‘test and go’ program began in November of last year (2021), but was shortly discontinued due to an increase in the number of COVC-19 cases in the country.
