Palawan is using the lessons learned from Boracay to improve the destination’s sustainability. The Department of Tourism (DOT) of the Philippines completely supports the development initiative in Palawan to increase sustainable tourism. The DOT, the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), the Provincial Government of Palawan, the Municipalities of Coron and El Nido, and the Asian Development Bank are working together on the project.
