According to the National Director of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Francisco Duran, travelers are not require to show a vaccination certificate upon arrival or even show a negative COVID 19 report.
However, reports suggest that random sampling for COVID 19 will take place at airports, and even at ports.
This will mostly be direct at those passengers who are coming in from countries with a high rate of COVID 19 cases.
Moreover, those who test positive during such tests will be hospitalized, and all COVID 19 protocols shall be followed.
Passengers should also be aware that measures such as wearing masks, social distance, and even hand washing are still in effect.
“The relaxation of measures took into account the high immunization rate in the country”
Francisco Duran said in a statement.
Havana is Cuba’s most sought-after destination, and now travelers can look forward to visiting the beautiful city without much hassle.
The country has managed to vaccinate more than 9.9 million residents out of its 11.2 million residents. There are a total of 619 cases of new COVID 19 infections in Cuba, with one death.
