Hong Kong Disneyland Reopens With ‘The Magic Is Now’ Cavalcade, reopened yesterday, April 21, after closing in January due to a spike in COVID-19 cases.

As Disney Magical Kingdom Blog shared, guests are surprise with a cavalcade of Disney characters and Cast Members, including Duffy and friends, Hong Kong Disneyland managing director Michael Moriarty, and 2022-2023 ambassadors Lily Chan and Tony Dick.

What’s Happening:

Hong Kong Disneyland originally closed on January 7th, 2022, due to a spike in cases in Hong Kong.

The park’s reopening date was push back multiple times, but this morning finally reopened to guests.

To kick start the festivities, Disney friends, the Resort Ambassadors the Managing Director held a special welcome moment for guests.

There were many friendly faces to be see throughout the resort on this special day including Mickey Mouse.

Also seen dancing along to the welcome moment were Snow White and Dopey, along with Alice and the White Rabbit.

Disney Princesses include Cinderella, Jasmine, Belle, and Tiana, as well as Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Piglet Eeyore, and many more.

As guests enter the park and reunite with friends, family and loved ones, they were thrilled to discover an array of surprises.

From Instagram-friendly desserts such as White Chocolate & Strawberry Cheesecake to two brand new photo spots, the day was fill with fun and laughter.

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort’s commitment and support of its guests and community extend beyond the park.

During the closure, the resort partnered with local non-profit organizations to support more than 2,000 underserved families.

Overall, Disney-theme merchandise items and other essential materials, including toys, masks, and food, will donate to more than 15,000 individuals.

With its reopening, Hong Kong Disneyland doubled the magic of previous ticket donations by giving out a total of 10,000 park admission tickets.
