Thailand Pass registration to be lifted starting July 1
Thailand Pass registration to be lifted starting July 1 for Foreign travellers. They also no longer need USD 10,000 health insurance . This was a requirement earlier. This requirement was lifted for Thai nationals from June 1, but was still applicable in case of foreign nationals.
At the point of entry into Thailand, travellers will only need to show proof of either a certificate of vaccination or a negative RT-PCR or professional ATK test result within 72 hours of travel.
If you are planning to travel to Thailand, you will still need to show – either in print or digital copy of your vaccination certificate or a negative RT-PCR or a professional ATK (Antigen Test Kit) test result within 72 hours of travel.
Travellers are hereby informed that there may be random checks on arrival at Thailand’s international airports or land border checkpoints in 22 out of 77 provinces. Those who are found unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated, or those unable to show proof of a negative pre-arrival test will have to undergo the antigen test by a professional.
All 77 provinces in Thailand are green zones, meaning normal activities are now allowed and there are no more COVID-19 pandemic related restrictions. But, it is still expected of all visitors and residents to maintain and follow the basic SOP and hygiene practices for their own safety as well the safety of others around them.
Now, with all borders open, and international travels taking place, Thailand is definitely on the post-pandemic stage. Keeping this and the safety of the residents in mind, the Royal Thai Government will very soon announce a new set of guidelines for the residents as well as foreign travellers.
