Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national airline and multi-award winner, has launched new Wi-Fly ‘Chat’ and ‘Surf’ packages, enabling passengers to stay connected, chat with loved ones, and surf the internet effortlessly on Etihad’s wide-body aircraft.
Etihad is offering complimentary in-flight messaging, accessible through popular apps such as WhatsApp, Messenger, and WeChat, to all passengers flying with them. Passengers can benefit from this free ‘Chat’ feature throughout the entire flight by either signing in with their Etihad Guest membership or enrolling online beforehand.
For those who want to browse the internet, stay active on social media, and work while in-flight, Etihad offers a ‘Surf’ Wi-Fly plan with unlimited data for a flat fee, in addition to the complimentary ‘Chat’ package. The ‘Chat’ package is free for Etihad Guest members or priced at $2.99 for flights under 7 hours, and $4.99 for flights over 7 hours. The ‘Surf’ package is priced at $9.99 for flights under 7 hours, and $19.99 for flights over 7 hours.

As such, they are delighted to provide an additional complimentary benefit to Etihad Guest members and invite everyone to enroll before boarding and benefit from this feature immediately. The Wi-Fly plans offer unlimited data and last the entire flight, providing guests the opportunity to catch up on work, browse the internet, or stay active on social media while onboard.
Neves added that their modern wide-body fleet is equipped with the right technology to provide this service and ensure guests have a seamless and enjoyable experience throughout their journey. Meanwhile, Etihad’s narrow-body fleet will continue to provide mobile connectivity service, enabling guests to use their data roaming packages, make and receive phone calls, and send and receive text messages, just like they would on the ground.
Etihad Airways not only offers mobile and internet connectivity for guests to stay connected with the world but also provides an award-winning inflight entertainment service called E-BOX. The entertainment service is accessible on-demand through seat-back screens on the wide-body fleet and by streaming wirelessly on personal devices on the narrow-body fleet.
E-BOX features a vast selection of blockbuster movies, including Hollywood, Bollywood, Arabic, Asian, and European content, as well as TV shows, music, podcasts, and games, catering to a broad range of travellers. Moreover, guests can catch up on current affairs or live sports events on one of the seven sports and news TV channels.
