Welcome to Paradise

Hawaii is a tropical paradise that is welcoming to all types of travelers. Families, groups and couples will all love a visit to the Islands where they will find all of the elements of an island vacation from seaside golf courses, luxury hotels, well-equipped condos and adventurous excursions, snorkeling, world-class diving, dining and more.

With so many options, travel advisors will have no trouble selling clients on a trip to Hawaii, but they can also sell Hawaii as an expert with Travel Agent Academy’s free Hawaii Destination Specialist Program.

Build Your Knowledge of Hawaii

The Hawaii Destination Specialist Program is the perfect way to build your expertise in Hawaii. The course provides two levels of certification. Certification One provides an in-depth Introduction to the Hawaiian Islands. Certification Two is a roadmap for expertly selling vacations to Hawaii. After completing level one, travel advisors receive a Hawaii Destination Specialist Certificate.

Increase Your Knowledge
Level Two certification allows travel advisors to broaden their knowledge and choose which islands to learn more about. There are extensive courses on Kauai, Oahu, Maui Nui (Maui, Molokai, and Lanai), and the Hawaiian Islands. Each island has its own Certificate of Island Specialist. Travel advisors who complete all of them earn the title of Hawaii Destination Expert.

An Overview of Hawai’i
The Certification One program is an introduction to Hawaii. It is divided into six chapters that cover geography, weather, activities and attractions, events and festivals, and Hawaii’s distinctive history and culture. There is also a map of Hawaii’s various islands.

Each of these courses provides in-depth information about the island’s characteristics and what makes it unique for visitors.
