Puerto Princesa City Lifts strict Quarantine protocols for arriving travelers

Yes you read it right, Puerto Princesa removes strict Quarantine protocols for travelers.

Incoming travelers to Puerto Princesa City will no longer be required to undergo quarantine, provided the individual can produce a negative RT-PCR test result taken within 48 hours by a DOH-accredited testing center.

Lawyer Arnel Pedrosa, city administrator, in a phone interview with Palawan News on Tuesday, said that as a precautionary measure “to fill the vacuum” of scrapping quarantine protocol, inbound travelers would also be required to undergo two COVID-19 antigen tests, during the third and seventh day of their arrival in the city.

The two additional antigen tests would be free for returning locally stranded individuals and returning overseas Filipino workers (ROF); while allowed persons outside residence (APOR) will get a subsidized testing fee of P500.

Pedrosa, however, clarified that quarantine may still be imposed for those individuals, especially ROFs who were unable to complete their quarantine in their original point of entry.
