International travel resumes for fully vaccinated

International travel resumes today – with Australians able to return home after 20 months of border closure.

Fully vaccinated arrivals can enter without having to quarantine.

For those who are not fully jabbed or have a vaccine not approved by the TGA, the arrivals are capped at 210 per week and are taken to one of two quarantine hotels still in operation.

There are 16 flights scheduled to touch down in Sydney, but also, residents may leave the country without an exemption.

“The national plan is working; the Australian public have been keeping their side of the deal, which means the national plan is enabling them to regain the things that COVID has taken from them,” Prime Minister Scott Morrison said.
