TikTok’s Top Spring Break Destinations

The Most Popular Spring Break Vacations in 2023
According to the most recent projections from AAA and others, this year’s spring break travel period will be extremely busy. While many Americans will travel abroad, the majority will stay at home, seeking warmer temperatures and plenty of sunshine.

Ayrshare, a social media company, conducted a study examining TikTok data and weather statistics to determine the top cities for a spring vacation in the United States this year. Researchers looked at the number of hashtag views on TikTok for up to 50 popular U.S. destinations, as well as the average weather conditions from March to May, taking into account the average temperature and number of rainy days.

Here are the 10 cities that ranked the highest for 2023.

Seattle rounds out the top ten with a TikTok hashtag that has garnered 242 million views, beating out Destin, Florida, Phoenix, Nashville, Maui, and Las Vegas. Despite its cooler temperatures, the city only receives 8 days of rain on average during the spring and is home to well-known landmarks such as Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, and the Seattle Great Wheel.
